Been an Email is named after the line everyone has thought in a meeting: this could have been an email. It's a collection of small tools for the everyday jobs that shouldn't take a meeting, an app sign-up or a spreadsheet: timers, lists, trackers, calculators and a few daily games. Each one tries to be the best free way to do its one job.

The rules every tool follows

• Once a tool says it works offline, it keeps working without an internet connection.

Articles

Tools will get a few articles each, answering the questions people ask about the tool's job. They'll be written with the help of AI, checked against the sources they cite, and reviewed before they're published, and each will carry a working copy of its tool.
