How it works

Type what you need, with or without a quantity ("eggs 12", "2 milk", "500 g flour"). Each item is matched against a list of about 590 common grocery names in English, written for this tool, and filed under an aisle: Fruit and vegetables, Dairy and eggs, Frozen and so on. If a name isn't on the list, the last word decides ("organic whole milk" is milk), and anything still unknown goes to Other.

The aisles stand in the order you walk your store. Ours is only a starting guess (fresh food first, frozen last); open Store order and drag them into your store's order once. When you check off the last thing in an aisle, the aisle folds away, so the next one is always at the top. Put an item in a different aisle once and it goes there every time.

Things you add at least twice, the latest within the past 120 days, become usuals, one tap away. Sharing makes a link that holds a copy of the list inside the address itself; nothing is uploaded, and the person who opens it is asked before anything is added.

Questions people ask

How do I sort my grocery list by aisle?
Add your items and they sort themselves into aisles, using a built-in list of about 590 common grocery names. Open Store order and drag the aisles into the order you walk your store; the list follows that order from then on. If something lands in the wrong aisle, change it once in Edit and it goes there every time after.
How do I share my grocery list?
Tap Share the list to make a link with everything still on your list. Whoever opens it is asked first, and only the things they don't already have are added. The link is a copy, not a live sync, so changes after you share it don't follow; very long lists are shared as a file instead.
What are usuals?
Usuals are things you buy again and again: anything you've added at least twice, the latest within the past 120 days, shows up as a one-tap button above the list. Those two numbers are our rule of thumb; Forget removes one in Settings.
Where is my list kept?
Only in this browser on this device; we never see it. Share the list to send a copy, or use Export in Settings to keep a backup or move it to another device.
